After you place an order on PurvX, your purchase follows a defined timeline designed to protect both buyers and sellers. Below is a detailed explanation of what happens at each stage of the buying process.

1. Order placed

When an order is placed on PurvX:

  • Payment is securely held
  • The item is reserved and removed from public listings
  • Buyers receive an order confirmation email approximately 15 minutes after checkout

2. Seller notification

  • The seller is notified that an order has been placed
  • The seller is responsible for preparing the item for shipping or pickup

3. Shipping or pickup window

  • Sellers have up to 14 days to ship the item or complete the pickup
  • If the seller does not ship or complete the pickup within this window, the order is automatically cancelled
  • In such cases, the buyer receives a full refund

4. Typical shipping expectations

  • PurvX encourages sellers to ship items within 3 days of the order being placed
  • Most sellers ship within 3 days, excluding weekends
  • Shipping timelines may vary depending on individual seller circumstances such as work or personal commitments

5. Pickup orders

  • Pickup orders follow the same 14-day timeline as shipped orders
  • The seller contacts the buyer through PurvX to share pickup location and coordination details
  • The pickup must be completed within this window for the order to remain valid

6. Marking the item as shipped or delivered

  • After shipping an item, the seller must mark the order as Shipped on PurvX
  • Sellers are required to provide:
    • The carrier name
    • A valid tracking number
  • For pickup orders, the seller marks the item as Delivered only after the pickup is successfully completed

7. Delivery and issue reporting window

  • Once an item is delivered, buyers have 3 days to report any issues in line with the applicable returns policy
  • For pickup orders, buyers should refuse the pickup if there are any issues and ensure the seller remains in possession of the item
  • In such cases, the seller should not mark the order as delivered

8. Confirming receipt

  • If there are no issues, buyers should mark the item as Received on PurvX
